Marcus ter Haar
Managing Director

Marcus was appointed ODC Managing Director in August 2017. As the Managing Director, he is responsible for leading the development and execution of the Company’s mandate and business strategy. Alongside the company’s executive team he is responsible for ensuring that the company demonstrates high performance and service standards for its key stakeholders. Marcus joined ODC in 2013 as the Deputy Managing Director where he managed the support services of ODC whilst assisting the Managing Director to develop and deliver ODC’s strategic projects and key business initiatives. Marcus joined ODC from DTC Botswana where he served as the Sales and Marketing Manager. With over a decade in the diamond industry, his career in De Beers and Debswana has spanned mining, sales, finance, operations and corporate roles.
Marcus also serves on the Boards of Wilderness Holdings, Northside Primary School and the Lady Khama Charitable Trust.

Susanne Swaniker-Tettey
Chief Financial Officer

Susanne joined ODC in 2013 and oversees ODC’s Finance, HR, Compliance and Administration Departments. In her role as CFO, Susanne is responsible for ensuring the implementation of best practice financial management, human resources, procurement, risk management and efficient administration strategies and interventions. Susanne has over 20 years of auditing, finance, commercial, IT and risk management experience, including over 10 years in senior management in the Mining and Mineral sector of Botswana. In some of her previous roles Susanne managed other operational areas including IT and Supply Chain. Prior to joining ODC, Susanne was the Chief Financial Officer at Boteti Mining Company.

Tim Lee
Sales Manager

Tim’s role involves ensuring sustainable sales, achieving market driven prices and managing ODC’s rough diamond valuation processes. . Tim joined ODC in 2013 from Trans Hex, South Africa and is responsible for the development and management of ODC’s sales channel. 25 years’ experience in diamond buying and marketing has provided Tim with the knowledge and skills required for growing and managing a broad and diverse customer base, and offering high quality customer service levels through the design, valuation and delivery of consistent market related sales assortments.

Andrew Faulkner
Operations Manager

Andrew joined ODC in 2013 and is responsible for the efficient end to end processing of ODC’s diamonds. Leading the Operations team, Andrew’s role involves managing the technical quality assurance of rough diamond purchases and the accurate production of consistent Sales Lots through auditable systems and processes. Andy has extensive assortment and valuation experience, and has previously worked in quality control manager positions in Namibia, London and Botswana. Prior to ODC, Andrew was a DTC Global Monitor.
